Cloud Songs

This vibrant program showcases the charm and creativity of chamber music through unexpected instrumental pairings and rich musical storytelling. Begin with Barbara Harbach’s Four Dances for Two, a lively and expressive dialogue between oboe and violin. Then enjoy the wit and elegance of Madeleine Dring’s Trio for Flute, Oboe, and Piano, a delightful blend of British flair and French influence.Erwin Schulhoff’s Concertino brings a jazzy, modern twist to a unique trio of flute, viola, and double bass, while Alyssa Morris’s Cloud Songs (a brand-new work from 2025!) offers a dreamy, atmospheric journey for oboe, bass, and piano. The offering concludes with Nino Rota’s Trio for Piano, Flute, and Violin, a lyrical and cinematic gem from the famed Italian composer.
